American Red Cross blood drive dates

The American Red Cross has issued an urgent appeal for blood donations and have announced several drives in Graves County. They include:

• Sept. 30, Gibson's Pharmacy, 715 E. Broadway, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.;

• Oct. 9, Mayfield Graves County YMCA, 1545 Cuba Rd., from noon until 5 p.m.;

• Oct. 10, Cuba Church of Christ, 51 Cuba School Rd., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cracker Barrel hosting Coffee With A Cop

The Mayfield Cracker Barrel will host a National Coffee With A Cop event on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. The community is invited to attend, enjoy a free cup of coffee and conversation with law enforcement officers in the community.

The event is designed to connect the citizens with the officers who serve them.

Alzheimer's support group to meet

The Mayfield/Graves County Alzheimer's Support Group, an affiliate of the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, will conduct its monthly meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at noon at the Graves County Public Library. The lunch meeting is free and open to caregivers and those wanting to learn more about Alzheimer's Disease.
