Alzheimer's group to discuss finances

The Mayfield/Graves County Alzheimer's Support Group, an affiliate of the Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, will conduct its monthly meeting today, Wednesday, in the Graves County Public Library. This noon luncheon meeting is free and open to caregivers and those wanting to learn more about Alzheimer's Disease. At this month's meeting, financial consultant Mat Fletcher will discuss "Planning for a Secure Future." Health board meeting Thursday

There will be a Mayfoeld-Graves County Board of Health meeting on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 5:30 p.m. at the health department, located at 416 Central Ave. The meeting is open to the public.

Santa landing at Mayfield Graves Airport

The Purchase Area Aviators EAA Chapter 807 and Mayfield Graves County Airport will welcome Santa Clause for the initial Santa Fly-In on Dec. 9. The event will take place from 6-9 p.m. at the airport off Ky. 58 East. The community is invited.

City-wide leaf pick-up announced

A city-wide pick-up schedule for leaves has been scheduled for Dec. 9-12. City workers will sweep the city to pick up bagged leaves only. Bags should be placed by the curb no earlier than 24 hours before Dec. 9. No trash should be in the leaves, otherwise citations will be issued if any household trash are in the leaf bags.

Special-called meeting for MHS council

The Mayfield High School Site Based Decision Making Council has scheduled a special-called meeting for Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m. in the high school library.

Breakfast Blender to address opioid abuse

The Mayfield/Graves County Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Blender on Tuesday, Dec. 17, will address opioid abuse and business. The breakfast will be from 7:30-8:30 a.m. at the West Kentucky RECC Community Room, located at 1218 W. Broadway. For additional information, contact the Chamber.
