Two Fancy Farm residents were arrested following a Tuesday report of a burglary.
Graves County Sheriff Jon Hayden reported of a burglary and theft of a building located just west of Fancy Farm on Ky. 80 West. A large quantity of items, including tools, computers, and other electronics were reported as stolen.
At around 4:40 p.m., Sheriff's Det. Brooke Amberg and Sheriff Hayden went to a residence that was located nearby the scene of the burglary and theft to investigate. While at this residence, all of the items reported as stolen were recovered from the site. A small amount of illegal drugs were also located inside the home.
During interviews with Donald S. Fannin, 36, and Melissa K. Russum, 27, both admitted to the burglaries and thefts. They were also charged with involving minor children in the thefts to carry stolen items from the scene.
The suspects had only moved to this area recently.
Fannin was charged with third-degree burglary; three counts of unlawful transaction with a minor; possession of marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and third-degree possession of a controlled substance (which was cited to court due to a medical condition).
He was taken to the Graves County Jail.
