The Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office arrested an Arlington man after deputies searched his home and found drugs and a handgun. A Fancy Farm Woman hiding inside was also cited.

On Thursday, the Carlisle County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky Probation and Parole conducted an investigation at an address in the 100 Block of Appletree Street in Arlington, Ky. When deputies arrived at the location no one would come to the door despite it already being open prior to their arrival.

The home was known to be the residence of Harold Eddy Turner, 60. Turner was located at his place of employment and brought to his home. Once inside, deputies located Tamron L. Lyman, 38, of Fancy Farm hiding. Lyman initially stated that she had no idea that officers were at the residence despite repeated knocks on the front and back door by deputies, and that a four camera surveillance system within the residence showed them standing outside.

A search of the premises yielded methamphetamine, marijuana, digital scales, baggies and methamphetamine pipes. In addition to the illegal narcotics and associated paraphernalia, a loaded 9mm Taurus was found hidden in a leather jacket inside Turner’s bedroom.

Turner had a prior conviction in 2016 for Possession of Methamphetamine and was sentenced in January to 5 years probation for Possession of Methamphetamine — Second Offense. Thursday marked the third time that he had received the charge.

During the investigation, deputies discovered that a person identified as Brandi Hooper had texted Turner and advised him that the police were at his residence. He then contacted Lyman and requested that she throw the handgun and ammunition in the trash to keep the deputies from finding them. She did not carry out the request. Turner denied that he knew the handgun was in the residence. That action earned him an additional charge of Attempted Tampering with Physical Evidence to accompany his charges of Possession of A Controlled Substance — Third Offense (Methamphetamine) and Possession of Marijuana, both firearm enhanced; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon. He was arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail. Additional charges are anticipated from Ky Probation and Parole.

Lyman was issued a citation for Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
