The Graves County Extension Office, 251 W. Housman St. will host a 'Meet & Greet' for Denise Wooley, on Oct. 18 from 1 - 3:30 p.m. She is the new Agent for Family and Consumer Services.
Chunky Hand Knit Blanket Class

Pull Yourself Together
The Graves County Extension Office will host this class on Wednesday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. Society is moving at a faster and faster pace. Technology is ever evolving. It's a full time job just to keep up with everything! This class will teach you some new, trending techniques to make sure you are meeting your personal needs, both mentally and physically. Learn about bullet journaling, podcasts, and books that can help you reach your highest potential in managing this crazy thing called life and relieving stress along the way. Fulton Genealogical Society
The Fulton Genealogical Society will be meeting Thursday, Oct, 17 at 11:30 a.m. at the Keg Restaurant on Lake Street in Fulton. This year the buffet will be offered: a meat, two vegetables, tea, and salad. Please have check for Elaine or correct change $9. This includes tip. Dave Henderson, from Olive Branch, MS., is the author of a Memoir called Arkansas Project: From United States Jaycees to the United States Justice Department and White Water. Dave is also the son of Jubi Henderson a famous artist from Fulton. Mr. Henderson will have copies of his book (200 pages) for $15.
Mayfield/Graves County Genealogy Society
Society member Beverly Gourley will be guest speaker at 7 p.m. on October 14 at the Mayfield-Graves County Public Library after a short business meeting. She will be sharing years of research tips that have aided in her family research resulting in successful efforts. Beverly will be available to answer questions pertaining to challenges encountered by most genealogists. Come enjoy and share with others your triumphs as well as brick walls.
Mayfield York Rite Masons will host a "Country Breakfast" Oct 19 from 6-10 a.m. at 205 West Willow Drive (9th & Willow Drive), Mayfield. The meal will consist of: Scrambled Eggs, Bacon Sausage, Ham, Biscuits, Gravy, Coffee and Juice. ALL YOU CARE to EAT. Suggested Donation for adults is $8. All donations go to the York Rite Charities. This event is open to the public all are invited.
The Clear Springs Fire Department will host their 'Bi-Annual BBQ Fundraiser' on Saturday, Oct. 19 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at 3412 St. Rt. 301, Hickory. The cost is $7 per plate and cosists of BBQ sandwich or BBQ nachos, coleslawm baked beans, chip, dessert and a drink. The following will be available to purchase until the dinner begins: BBQ $8/LB., BBQ Nachos $5, Whole Rack Ribs $18 & Half Rack Ribs $9. Live music featuing local talent, Chandler Roberts. There will be give-aways, live aucrion and a 50/50 raffle. Everyone is welcome to attend. All proceeds will go to the fire department.
