FNB Bank’s inaugural Glowing Graves Halloween Parade will creep through Mayfield tonight, beginning at 6 o’clock on the court square.

“Graves County is the place to be this October and we are excited to be a part of the festivities with a family-friendly parade that our entire community can enjoy,” said Brooke Wiles, FNB Marketing Director. “Think of the Glowing Graves Halloween Parade as a Trunk-or-Treat on wheels.”

The Glowing Graves Halloween Parade will feature more than 50 participants and will include tractors, festive floats, marching bands, hay rides, emergency vehicles and more. The Graves County Screaming Eagle Band will also perform and dance to “Thriller” during their portion of the parade.

The parade route will start on 7th Street and will proceed north to Broadway and then turn east on Broadway and then south on 6th Street before ending at Walgreens.

Parade participants will be distributing candy, glow sticks, and other family-friendly giveaways throughout the parade.

The Glowing Graves Halloween Parade is part of a larger initiative that is being introduced in Graves County this year called “Haunted Graves.”

The parade is sponsored by FNB Bank and the Mayfield Rotary Club.

The Haunted Graves endeavor will feature various Halloween and fall-themed events in Mayfield and Graves County throughout the month and culminating on Halloween.

“Only in Graves County can you walk through a corn maze, chunk a pumpkin in the air, run screaming through a haunted house, and attend a Halloween parade all in one day,” Wiles added.
