Mayfield Police Chief Nathan Kent reported the following arrests and warrants served over the weekend and early this week:
n Kathy Bouland, 37, of Mayfield was arrested at Walmart Sunday and charged with third-degree burglary.
Upon arrival at the store, an MPD officer made contact with Bouland, who had allegedly been observed by store staff placing items into her handbag and walking into the fitting rooms. A search of her handbag was conducted and the items were recovered and returned to the store. She had been barred from the store due to a shoplifting report in 2017. Bouland allegedly, knowingly and unlawfully, entered the store with the intent to shoplift, according to police. Bouland was charged and taken to Graves County Jail.
n Cody Nelms, 41, of Mayfield was arrested Sunday on a Graves County warrant charging him with public intoxication, second-degree disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and taken to Graves County Jail.
He was also served with two additional warrants charging him with absconding parole supervision, failure to appear in court, public intoxication and third-degree criminal mischief, according to Kent.
n Curtis J. Elko II, 28, of Mayfield was arrested Saturday at the Windhaven Apartments and charged with public intoxication (first offense) and second-degree disorderly conduct and taken to Graves County Jail.
MPD officers responded to apartments on a report of a man screaming at a female with a small child outside the building. On arrival, officers reportedly observed Elko, the woman and the child standing outside of a residence.
When an officer approach them, Elko started to walk away. When the officer gave a verbal command to stop, Elko reportedly became argumentative and aggressive. Elko was then commanded to lower his voice, yet continued to raise his voice in public, causing alarm to other residents. He reportedly admitted to drinking and was determined to be under the influence of alcohol, according to Kent.
n Donald West, 48, of Mayfield was arrested Saturday and charged with fourth-degree assault (domestic violence with minor injury). MPD officers were dispatched to Food Giant grocery store where witnesses told them that West alleged assaulted a female victim by grabbing her throat.
During an investigation, police reported that West also slapped the victim, causing a red mark on her face and throat. He had left the scene prior to police arrival, but was subsequently located, charged and taken to Graves County Jail.
n James Mark Turbeville, 42, of Fulton was arrested in Mayfield at the Graves County Probation and Parole office Friday on a Hickman County warrant charging him with second-degree burglary. An MPD officer was dispatched to the office where Turbeville was charged and taken to Graves County Jail.
n Marco Siordia, 30, of Mayfield was arrested on a warrant charging him with failure to appear in court on a charge of possession of marijuana while incarcerated at Graves County Jail.
