Mayfield police Chief Nathan Kent reported the following arrests and warrants served:
• Talamy Price, 41, of Mayfield, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree assault (domestic violence, minor injury) after police were called to an apartment Monday afternoon on Adams Circle.
An anonymous caller said she was on the phone with her friend when she heard arguing between the woman and her son, Kent said. The caller said she heard the son smack his mother, and then the call was disconnected.
An officer arrived at the apartment and determined Price smacked his mother and then his son. The officer observed red welts shaped like handprints on both the mother and the son, Kent said. Police took Price to the Graves County Jail.
• Michael Justin Mills, 35, of Mayfield, was served a bench warrant Wednesday charging him with failure to appear in court. He was taken to the Graves County Jail.
