Three Mayfield teens were arrested and charged with second-degree burglary of an apartment. Mayfield Police Chief Nathan Kent reported that officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress Friday at approximately 12:30 p.m. Friday at the Garden Apartments. Witnesses stated that the teens were confronted at the front door of the apartment by the mother of the victim, who was at work at the time.

All three teens jumped from second story windows and fled the scene. One of the teens, Kenneth Hendrix, 18, was observed by an officer and was detained. Through investigation, officers learned the names of the other two suspects: David Cobb, Jr., 18, and a 16-year-old juvenile. All three teens were interviewed, and confessed to the burglary. Hendrix and Cobb were taken to the Graves County Jail. The juvenile was charged and sent to the McCracken County Regional Juvenile Detention Center.
