Use caution

U.S. 45 between Wingo and Water Valley reopened Monday, but drivers are urged to use caution. Signs mark a break in the pavement, as well as a dip in the road where placement of a pre-fabricated aluminum culvert under the roadway was done. The area near the 3.2 mile mark will need to settle for one to two weeks before a maintenance patch will be placed over the excavation, according to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 1 public information officer Keith Todd.
