Mayfield Police Chief Nathan Kent reported the following arrests, warrants served and traffic incidents:
Officers with the Mayfield Police Department were dispatched to Walmart Thursday in reference to a shoplifter fleeing from Loss Prevention staff. Frederick Gomez, 48, of Mayfield, was located near the parking lot of another nearby store. Gomez was found to have committed multiple thefts from Walmart starting in mid-May. He was placed under arrest and charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking over $500.00 but under $10,000.00, and was taken to Graves County Jail.
On Wednesday, officers arrested Brittany Vaughn, 32, of Mayfield, on a warrant charging her with Harassing Communications and Third-Degree Terroristic Threatening. She was taken to the Calloway County Jail.
On Tuesday, officers arrested Jorge Zamora-Munoz, 38, of Mayfield, on an arrest warrant for Theft By Unlawful Taking or Disposition Shoplifting Under $500. He was taken to the Calloway County Jail.
On Tuesday, MPD arrested Eva Jones, 48, of Mayfield, after responding to East Broadway for a report of a female seen walking in the street while not fully clothed. Jones was located on East Broadway, and was determined to be under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Jones was taken to the Calloway County Jail on the charge of Public Intoxication — Controlled Substance.
