Mayfield Police Chief Nathan Kent reported the following arrests, warrants served and traffic incidents:
Friday, Shelbianne Ballantine, 26, of Clinton, was arrested by the Mayfield Police Department following a hit and run investigation. Ballantine called to report that she was driving her vehicle and it was struck by a red Honda that had since fled the scene. Through an investigation, it was determined that there were actually two other occupants in her vehicle and she was not the driver. The two occupants exited the vehicle and approached the driver of the red Honda in a threatening manner. The driver of the Honda left the scene in fear for their safety. It is unknown if Ballantine was in her vehicle during the collision. The other two occupants were identified but could not be located. After Ballantine was placed under arrest, methamphetamine was located on her possession. She was taken to the Graves County Jail on the charges of Falsely Reporting an Incident and First-Degree Possession of Controlled Substance, 1st Offense (Methamphetamine).
Thursday, Mayfield Police officers arrested Darian Williams, 27, of Mayfield, after taking a report of a burglary and theft on Wednesday. Williams was interviewed, cooperated with authorities, and gave officers the location of a stolen license plate. After completing the investigation, Williams was placed under arrest and taken to the Graves County Jail on the charges of Third-Degree Burglary and Theft of Motor Vehicle Registration Plate.
Wednesday, Kourt Rowland, 22, of Hickory, was placed under arrest by the Mayfield Police Department on a warrant. Rowland was charged with Second-Degree Bail Jumping and taken to the Graves County Jail.
