A man at a Melber residence was arrested Thursday after the Graves County Sheriff’s Office received a report on suspicious activity.

Detective Snapper Seaton and Kentucky Department of Probation and Parole officers responded to 956 Calus Hollow Road in the Melber community after the GSCO had received information of suspicious activity at a residence.

Chance Lee Richardson, located at the residence, was on probation through Graves County Circuity Court for drug offenses.

Seaton and Probation and Parole officers located two firearms outside of the home in the yard. Richardson also tried to dispose of a methamphetamine pipe behind a dog kennel in his yard, but was observed doing this by a Probation and Parole Officer. Marijuana was also found inside Richardson’s home.

He was arrested and taken to the Graves County Jail. He was charged with two counts of Possession Of A Firearm By A Convicted Felon, First-Degree Possession Of A Controlled Substance — Methamphetamine, Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession Of Marijuana, and Tampering With Physical Evidence.
