A fugitive was located and arrested on numerous charges Tuesday by Graves County Sheriff’s deputies.
At around midnight, the Graves County Sheriff’s Office attempted to serve an arrest warrant on Marshall Dowdy, 30, of Symsonia, who had been a fugitive from justice since October. Dowdy was located in a vehicle parked behind his residence on Tim Road in the Symsonia area.
Deputy Chandler Sirls arrested Dowdy and a search was conducted. A methamphetamine pipe, syringes and methamphetamine were located. Dowdy was charged with First-Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance, 2nd Offense (Methamphetamine) and Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Possess.
He was also served a bench warrant out of Graves County Circuit Court for failure to appear for sentencing on a prior methamphetamine charge from October 2020.
Deputy Sirls was assisted by Sgt. Richard Edwards and Kentucky State Police Trooper Austin Ramage.
