Two-week closure of road in northern Graves begins Monday

The two-week closure will see the replacement of an existing culvert that carries a branch of Mayfield Creek.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is planning an extended closure of Ky. 2151 in northern Graves County starting Monday.

The road will be closed at the 0.2 mile point starting at 8 a.m. to allow for the replacement of a culvert that carries a branch of Mayfield Creek.

That roadway serves as a short connector between Ky. 1820 (County Line Road) and Ky. 339 in the Melber area.

This closure is near the south end of the road between Ky. 139 and White Mountain Road. There will be no marked detour, however motorists may self-detour along Ky. 339 and County Line Road through Melber.

The existing culvert at this site is being replaced by a pre-fabricated aluminum arch culvert.

The roadway at this site is expected to reopen to traffic around 3 p.m., Friday, April 16.
