A Mayfield woman was injured in one of two apparent drive-by shootings Tuesday night in Mayfield.
In both cases, shots appeared to have been fired into homes from the street, Mayfield Police Chief Nathan Kent said.
A shooting about 9:15 p.m. at 1204 S. Sixth St. resulted in no injuries, but a bullet struck a television screen, Kent said.
At 10:31 p.m., police were called to a shooting at 702 Lee St. A bullet came through a door and hit SaVannah Hancock, 23, of Mayfield in the neck, Kent said. She was flown to an out-of-state hospital in critical condition.
Mayfield police continued to investigate.
