Emily Flood Hawkins, 36, of Hickory, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mayfield and an employee of Dr. Michael L. Bobo, DDS, MD, FACS.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Wilby Hawkins; her father and stepmother Bryan and Rita Flood of Dexter; her maternal grandmother, Mary Lou Vaughan of Lynnville; one son, Jett Hawkins of Hickory; one sister, Courtney Polivick of Wickliffe; three nieces; and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leisa Vaughan Flood; her maternal grandfather, James Vaughan; and her paternal grandparents, James and Iva Flood.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at First United Methodist Church in Mayfield. Rev. Joey Reed, Rev. Joe Hansen, Liz Hansen, and Rev. Paul Wilkerson will officiate.

Friends may call 10 a.m. — 1 p.m. on Saturday at the church.

The family asks that everyone in attendance wear black and red in honor of her son, Jett.
