Gerald "Nace" Burnett, 77, of Paducah, died Friday, January 3, at The Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Paducah, a retired meter inspector and repairman for Paducah Water Works, and a member of Masonic Lodge 127.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Allen Burnett; a daughter, Laurie Burnett of Paducah; a son, Gerald Dale Burnett of La Center; two sisters, Cora Sue Brown of Paducah and Betty Lou Dowdy of Mayfield; two brothers, Ray Burnett of Ledbetter and Bill Burnett of Boaz; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Georgia Thompson, Margie Adams, Joyce Harris and Judy Peck; eight brothers, Terry Wayne, Charles, R.L., Robert, Edward, Lewis, Johnny, and James Burnett; and his parents, Rommie and Teresa Boswell Burnett.

A funeral service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday, January 6, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. C.W. Barnhill officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
