The Lyons used a big first inning to jump start their offense as they scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning.

The Eagles had just one hit and four errors in the loss.
Drew Hayden pitched the majority of the game for Graves, allowing three hits, eight runs, walking eight and striking out two on 75 pitches. Cole Woodward came pitched the final 1.1 innings in relief, allowing three hits, two runs, walking two and striking out one on 25 pitches.
The Eagles hosted the McCracken County Mustangs on Thursday evening, the Eagles lost 5-0.
The first four innings of the game was a pitching duel as neither team could get a run across home plate. That was until the top of the fifth inning when the Mustangs struck for four runs. Two walks and a hit by pitch proved huge in allowing the Mustangs to break through and score the game’s first runs.
Hayden Alexander started the game on the mound for the Eagles and he dominated much like he has to start the season. Alexander pitched on just two days of rest after throwing 1.1 innings in relief on Monday. Alexander pitched four innings allowing just three hits, while striking out eight and allowing zero runs.
The Eagles next game will be Wednesday, April 5 at 12 noon as they will have a rematch with the St. Mary Vikings.
