The Graves County Eagles followed up their Thursday night road win over Ballard County with another victory on Friday night as they defeated the St. Mary's Vikings 58-39 to advance to the championship game of the KME Christmas Classic.

The Eagles were led by Seth Thomas and Race Richards in scoring with Thomas pouring in 16 points and Richards adding 14.

Graves' win over the Vikings was propelled by shooting 48 percent from the field and 70 percent from the free throw line.

In the KME Christmas Classic championship game, the Eagles took care of the Hancock County Hornets in convincing fashion, 62-43.

The Eagles continued their stellar shooting performance on Saturday night, shooting 50 percent from the field while holding the Hornet offense to 38 percent.

Seth Thomas led Graves in scoring once again, scoring 14 points, while Jameson Chalker and Kade Babb added 13 a piece.

The Eagle advanced to 4-5 on the season following their win over Hancock County, extending their current winning streak to three games as they prepare to head south following Christmas day to partake in the Innisfree Hotels Beach Basketball Tournament.
