Chris Vogt is crossing the Ohio River.
The former Graves County all-state center announced through social media Thursday that he will sign with the University of Cincinnati men’s basketball program.
Vogt had played two years at Northern Kentucky University, where he signed in high school. He averaged 4.5 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game this past season for the Norse, according to nkunorse.com.
Northern Kentucky head coach John Brannen was hired at Cincinnati following former UC and Murray State coach Mick Cronin was hired to coach at UCLA.
Vogt, who was Purchase Player of the Year with the Eagles in 2016-17, and NKU played in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament this past season after winning the Horizon League conference championship.
The Bearcats, under Cronin, were 28-7 last year.
