GREENVILLE -- With some wild momentum swings Tuesday night, Fulton fell out of second place in the Ohio Valley League Western Division with a 9-4 loss to Muhlenberg County. The Railroaders are now in third place; a half-game behind Hoptown and 1 1/2 games behind division-leading Paducah.
The Stallions struck first with three runs in the fourth inning off a pair of Fulton errors. The Railroaders grabbed the lead in the fifth with two-run homers from both Luke McKenzie and Davis Lott. They would be the only Fulton runs of the game.
Muhlenberg County grabbed the lead back and then some with six runs in the bottom of the sixth. With the bases loaded, the Stallions scored three off a hit batter and a pair of walks. Reece Puckett singled in two runs before Will Myers got the last one across on a double.
Fulton remains on the road tonight for face Owensboro, then returns home Thursday for a game against Paducah.
