The Graves County Lady Eagles advanced to 3-0 on the season with a 48-37 win over McLean County on Saturday afternoon in the E-Gals’ New Year’s Shootout at Apollo High School.

Lady Eagle head coach Lyndon Dunning kept it simple when summing up his team’s performance through week one.

“Very excited,” Dunning said. “They have stepped up and handled adversity in each game. I’m so proud of our depth, today we played 12 kids. We started a huge run with Widelski, Glisson, Alexander, Myatt, and Grantham.”

Dunning went on to add his excitement for next week’s matchup.

“[We’re] really excited about a challenging game on Tuesday at 3-0 Calloway County.”

Graves County will travel to Calloway County Tuesday night for a meeting with the Lady Lakers.
