The Mayfield Lady Cardinals rebounded from their Saturday night loss to Murray with a statement win on Tuesday night, defeating Fulton County on the road 64-34.

Senior guard Halie Duke had a monster night for Mayfield, knocking down five triples to lead the team in scoring with 15 points.

Senior guard Brooke Lawson added four threes of her own to finish with 12 points while seventh-grade guard Nya Burns also finished with 12.

The Lady Cardinals hit a season-high 12 three-point baskets in their win over Fulton County as four different players got in on the fun.

Cardinals move to 3-1 with win over Fulton County

Mayfield got back to its winning ways on Tuesday evening as they took down Fulton County 69-62.

With a 15-point lead heading into the final frame, the Cardinals managed to cling to their seven point win despite lights out shooting from Pilot senior guard Josh Cole.

Cole finished the night with a game-high 28 points.

Senior guard Colby Kennemore led the Cardinals in scoring over the Pilots as he knocked down five threes, finishing the night with a career-high 24 points.

Senior forward Race Richards added 19 points thanks to a solid night around the rim and frequent stops at the charity stripe.

Mayfield will hit the hardwood again on Friday as they host Community Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
