FULTON -- Davis Lott and Reid Rector both went 3-for-4 with three RBIs as Fulton overcame a 7-6 deficit after five innings to defeat Franklin, 11-9, in Ohio Valley League baseball action Friday night.

The Railroaders (3-3) took the lead for good with four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Rector got the first two in with a homer to right right, and Lott scored the other two with a single to right. Luke McKenzie drove in two runs with two doubles for Fulton.

Robby Zanardelli got three RBIs for the Duelers with a three-run blast over the right-field wall in the top of the fourth.

Fulton hosted Henderson Saturday evening, then play Muhlenberg County today. The Railroaders then have two road games Tuesday and Wednesday at Muhlenberg and Owensboro, respectively, before returning home to Lohaus Field Thursday to play Paducah.

At Owensboro, the hosting Riverdawgs used a five-run fourth inning and a four-run fifth inning to bust open a close game and hand Fulton a 13-2 loss in seven innings in Ohio Valley League baseball Thursday.

The Railroaders could muster only four singles throughout the game. Drew Kirby started on the mound for Fulton and struck out six in three-plus innings while allowing six runs (five earned) on four hits. He walked two.

Bailey Falkenstein had three hits and drove in four runs for Owensboro, while Mathew Pigg earned the pitching win after allowing two runs (none earned) over six innings.
