Eagle tennis clinics coming in April

The Graves County High School tennis team will present it’s “Eagle Tennis Clinics” soon for interested Graves County students in grades 4-9. Coach Chuck Whitnell and former GCHS tennis players will provide instructions and all skill levels are welcome.

Players will be divided into ability levels and age groups for instruction and play. Participants who have racquets are asked to bring them. Anyone without a racquet will be provided one for the clinic, if they request it upon registration.

The clinic will take place between 10 a.m. and noon on two Saturdays — April 18 and April 25 — at the tennis courts near the Ky. Highway 121 entrance to Graves County High School.

The cost is $15 per participant per day. The number of openings available is limited; so, registrations will be taken on a first come, first served basis. To learn more or to register, email coach Chuck Whitnell at charles.whitnell@graves.kyschools.us.

GCHS band selling Cardinals-Cubs tickets

The Graves County High School Screaming Eagle band is selling tickets for the St. Louis Cardinals vs. Chicago Cubs game on Friday, July 24th at 6:15 p.m.

Tickets are just $55 and include seats in sections 371 and 372 (left field).

This is the perfect way to finish off another tough week and a great opportunity to grab up the family for one last weekend getaway before school kicks off. And, Graves County’s very own Screaming Eagle band will be performing on the field before the game!

Please make checks payable to Graves County Band Boosters.

If you have any questions, please contact GCHS band director Richard Burchett at Richard.burchett@graves.kyschools.us.
